Larry McMahon, AFSB, is the Senior Vice President and current Surety Manager for Alliant. He has been instrumental in the development of the Alliant Surety department and works closely with the Construction Unit. His primary responsibility is the management of numerous large surety placements, and he also works closely with the Alliant Public Entity Group, providing his expertise in all areas of surety.
Prior to joining Alliant in 2000, Larry worked for St. Paul Insurance Company in several capacities, beginning in 1988 as a trainee in the surety department of the Bedminster, NJ office. He became the Branch Manager of the Los Angeles office in 1994, and the Regional Underwriting Director of the NY/NJ Region in 1998. Larry holds the only designation for the surety industry, Associate of Fidelity and Surety Bonding (AFSB), and was one of the first to attain this designation back in 1992.
