Christian Geismann

Christian Geismann is the financial leader for Schuchart, a commercial general contractor serving the Puget Sound region. He oversees finance and accounting, HR and IT teams, ensuring that the company is effectively and efficiently serving both internal and external clients. Christian is also directing Schuchart’s journey into intelligent operations, including automation and data analytics. The company is already realizing benefits through time ($!) savings and greater insights for managers and employees throughout the organization.

Christian is passionate about lifetime learning and education. He serves as Vice President for the Puget Sound Chapter of CFMA, which provides educational and networking opportunities for the construction finance community. He is responsible for managing the chapter’s sponsorship relationships and has more than doubled annual sponsorship funds from $22K to $48K – this allows the chapter greater resources for quality education. He also works actively with his alma-mater, Western Washington University, incorporating real life business opportunities from the company into classroom projects for current students. One university project analyzed Schuchart’s safety records and made thorough recommendations for continuous improvement.

Prior to joining Schuchart, Christian spent over ten years in the practice of public accounting in the US and UK, specifically external audit, earning his CPA. Client audit engagements provided a variety of experiences across multiple countries and industries, with both privately-held companies and SEC filers, and of all sizes ranging from pre-revenue stage to over $1B in sales. He managed domestic and international audit teams and served as national leader for the firm’s sustainability services practice.
