Jen Hildebrand

Jen joined Arch in December of 2020, where she is currently a Senior Underwriter for Arch Insurance’s Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI). Prior to joining Arch, Jen spent two years as a SDI underwriter for AXA XL handling a book of $8.5B in annual subcontractor enrollment volume.

Jen’s background in Landscape Architecture, Community Planning, and Financial Sectors has provided her with the ability to rapidly understand our partners’ specific needs and to create and implement effective default risk management solutions and coverages. Jen’s background in a number of different roles provides her with a unique lens through which she approaches her customers’ businesses. She has a degree in Landscape Architecture from Kansas State University and started out her career as a community planner, working closely with developers and contractors at an architecture and design firm in Boulder, Colorado. This experience provided her with key insights into the construction project lifecycle. After working in that field for 5 years, she decided to diversify her skills and obtained her MBA with a Finance focus from the University of Manitoba, Canada. Subsequently she was accepted into the Emerging Leaders program at a national banking institution. That experience provided opportunities to work in a variety of roles over a 4 year period, spanning from Corporate Strategy and Development to Senior Financial Analyst. During her time with the bank, she obtained her Certified Financial Planning Certificate and Designation. Immediately prior to joining the insurance world at AXA XL, she worked as a Certified Financial Planner® for a Wealth Management firm in Overland Park, KS. She handed a book of 30+ high net worth individuals, creating custom financial plans that aligned with their unique lives and goals. It is her attention to detail, passion for relationships, and ability to create solutions geared towards her customers’ goals, that has allowed her to adapt and excel in many different work settings.
