Joe Piro

Joe Piro is Gilbane Building Company’s vice president and corporate director of Supply Chain Management. In this role, Mr. Piro is responsible for overseeing the global supply chain and spend management programs for the organization as well as negotiating national price agreements. He is a committee member of The Institute for Supply Management Report on Business and contributes monthly to the Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI), a leading indicator of US economic activity for the manufacturing and service sectors.

In addition to supply chain, Mr. Piro is highly skilled in corporate turnaround and competitive repositioning, contract negotiation, finance, operations and strategy. He has over 20 years of practical P&L leadership experience in both the private and public sectors. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
