Luke Cope, CCIFP, works for Western States Fire Protection in Denver, CO, which is the largest union fire protection contractor in the country and a subsidiary of APi Group, Inc. APi Group is currently ranked as the sixth largest specialty contractor in the U.S. by ENR and is at the forefront of the BIM movement. APi's diverse group of 32 subsidiary construction companies has offered Luke a unique perspective on BIM and provided him firsthand experience dealing with BIM's effect on accounting and finance.
Luke has eight years' experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining Western States Fire Protection, Luke worked for B&G Electrical Contractors in New York City. Luke serves on the ICCIFP Board of Trustees, and is a member of the ICCIFP Strategic Planning Committee. He has a BBA from the University of Colorado and an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University.
