Mahsa Poorak

Mahsa Poorak: Mahsa Poorak is Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Southern Electric Company. She attended Emory University, studying Political Science and Spanish, and obtained a Juris Doctorate Degree with a Criminal Concentration from the University of California, Hastings College of Law. After graduating, Mahsa worked as a Public Defender in Oakland, California, where she represented indigent clients in misdemeanor cases.

Mahsa left California in 2019 to take over leadership of Southern Electric Company after her father passed away. In addition to her work at SEC, Mahsa is an active member of the Young Leadership Program with the Georgia Chapter of the Association of General Contractors, where she serves on the YLP Council. At the AGC, she also serves on the Legislative Committee.

Mahsa is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Chapter of the Independent Electrical Contractors Association, where she serves on the Legislative and Training Committees. At SEC, Mahsa aims to maintain and expand her father’s legacy by investing in her employees and providing her customers the best product possible.
