Mahsa Poorak works as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Southern Electric Company, a commercial electrical contractor located in Alpharetta, Georgia. Prior to SEC, Mahsa worked as a public defender at the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office in Oakland, California. Mahsa earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Spanish from Emory University, as well as a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. In addition to her role at SEC, Mahsa serves on the council for the Young Leadership Program of the Associated General Contractors of Georgia. Mahsa serves on the Board of Directors for the Independent Electrical Contractors Association of Atlanta, where she also serves on multiple committees.
