Mark J. DeVito, Underwriting Director and Contract Surety, Travelers Bond & Specialty Insurance: After working for his family-owned construction business and a few years in the mortgage industry, Mark found his way into surety bonding in January 2008. He started with Travelers Bond as a Commercial Surety Underwriter Trainee supporting surety agents from New England down through the Mid-Atlantic Regions. In 2012, Mark transitioned to Construction Surety as a Field Underwriter supporting small to large middle market contractors in PA, NJ, Upstate NY, DE & MD. During this 10-year period, he also managed the Travelers Bond Construction Surety Express & SBA Operation countrywide. In early 2022, Mark joined the Travelers Bond Philadelphia Home Office team as an Underwriting Director, supporting underwriters, agents and clients in TN, NC, SC and FL. Mark has served as an active member of CFMA Philadelphia and South Jersey Chapters, as well as a Board Member & Vice President of South Jersey Chapter. 2001 graduate of Temple University, and resides in Lansdale, Pa. with his wife Becki and two young sons with a stepson a student at Drexel University.
