Robert Doug Smith, CPA, CCIFP, is the Senior Vice President of Finance for the Vecellio Group, Inc., a heavy/highway, bridge, structures, and marine construction company with operations in the Southeastern U.S. The company also owns and operates a large quarry in South Florida as well as fuel terminals in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and New Mexico and operates asphalt plants in Florida and North Carolina. At Vecellio Group, Doug is responsible for financial reporting and tax needs. He has over 42 years of public and private company experience, 15 of which were with Vecellio, which has afforded him many encounters with timeliness of financial reporting and meeting operation's and owner’s needs. Doug has been a member of CFMA since 26 and is past Chair of the Heavy/Highway Committee.
