Steve is responsible for agency relations and oversees New Business Underwriting, Premium Audit and Field Safety Services. Steve has worked in the insurance carrier industry for 25 years. He started his career as an auto and home adjuster/appraiser for USF&G in 1994 and made the transition with them through mergers that included St Paul and MetLife Auto & Home. In 2001 he made a move to NM Mutual as a Claims Adjuster Supervisor then moved to the Premium Audit Department as a Senior Auditor for the next nine years. In 2014, Steve was hired by Builders Trust, a group self-insured fund that has provided workers’ compensation coverage to the New Mexico construction industry for over 30 years and covers in excess of $500 million in construction payroll. Steve’s initial position at Builders Trust was as the Premium Audit Department Manager and in 2016 was promoted to his current position.
