William H. Perkins ARM, CRIS

William H. Perkins, AAI, ARM, CRIS®, is a Senior Training Specialist for the Midwest region at Liberty Mutual, where he provides commercial insurance training and education for the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. After graduating from Loyola University of the South, William's experience began at a family-owned insurance agency in Orlando. After more than 12 years as a commercial insurance sales agent, he was hired by the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) in 1993 as a commercial lines instructor and was also responsible for their annual Legislative Roundup sessions. In addition to teaching the principal commercial insurance disciplines of business auto, commercial general liability, property, and workers' compensation, he has interests in longshore and maritime employment coverage issues. William formerly served on the National Council on Compensation Insurance Florida Appeals Board, the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America’s (IIABA) Technical Affairs Committee, and the Mid America Insurance Conference, and was also the Florida coordinator of the Agents and Brokers Education Network. A frequent speaker at IRMI’s Construction Risk Conference, he received IRMI’s Words of Wisdom (WOW) award in 21 as well as the IIABA Spirit of Education Award in 213.
