Zach is the Vice President of Finance for McCownGordon Construction, a Top 150 ENR commercial GC headquartered in Kansas City, MO. Since 2015, McCownGordon is a 100% employee-owned S-Corporation and performs work in all commercial verticals with approximately $900M in annual revenues. Zach leads all day-to-day finance and accounting operations and supports McCownGordon’s CFO and Leadership team with strategic finance, investment and growth initiatives.
Prior to McCownGordon, Zach spent 6 years in public accounting as a Certified Public Accountant at BKD, LLP (now Forvis Mazars) and specialized in audit and assurance work for the AEC industry.
Zach graduated from University of Kansas with Bachelor’s of Accounting and Masters of Accountancy. He has been very involved at CFMA, former president of Kansas City Chapter, and currently serves on the Mentorship Program
