Cloud Collaborate: Breaking the Collaboration Barrier

CMiC's Collaborate platform is designed to eliminate real-time collaboration barriers and increase dynamic exchanges. It provides cloud-based applications with a single role-based login (the “Collaborate Gateway”), that removes the needs for multiple passwords, system URLs, VPNs and client-based virtual desktops—optimizing the user experience and adoption. Collaborate provides a conduit for project teams to work together on publicly shared CMiC projects. Using Cloud orchestration, CMiC's Collaborate platform manages the intersections and interaction among cloud-based and on-premise systems.

Safety First: Tools for Tracking

Learn about CMiC Field’s Checklist and Issues feature. This session will highlight the enhancements made to Checklists based on feedback from the user community, and demonstrate how companies such as Structure Tone have leveraged Checklists in the field. From recording safety checklists to tracking outstanding safety issues, the Checklist and Issues feature allows the o ce to run reports and identify trends at scale. Key benefits of this roll-out that will be covered include checklists recorded in CMiC Field being automatically uploaded into the CMiC Database and reviewed for anomalies.

Lifecycle of a Project: Opportunity Tracking & Project Setup

This session launches an 8-part series developed by CMiC focusing on how our tools streamline your project’s lifecycle and build on best practices. From concept to asset, experts will guide you through this key integrated project lifecycle process. Peer level discussion will encourage clients to share their experiences. We begin with the tracking of opportunities, the proposal phase, and project setup. Highlights of this session include looking at advantages of transitioning from JSP to ADF, learning how to gather the metrics using CRM data-mining and analytics, and generating the workflow report.

The financial lifecycle of an organization is not a stand-alone activity. It includes risk management, cash management and proper financial reporting. This session will discuss these activities and strategies to simplify the process to ensure accurate reporting. As a demonstration of CMiC’s financial capabilities, the focus will be on AP workflow & trains, AR cash receipt train, financial close-out processes and reporting.

  • Overview of the changes necessary for the financial IRFS 15 reporting framework

Peer level discussion will encourage clients to share their experience.

  • Discuss how to distribute bid packages and addenda, and track intent to bid with the “Invitation To Bid” functionality.
  • Review the creation of subcontracts from bid packages with the “Purchase” button.
  • Discover how to integrate multi-print to expedite the process using “Template Contracts” and the “Copy” feature to speed up contract creation, and by adding user extensions to subcontracts.

CMiC Field: Breaking New Ground

Showcasing their experiences, CMiC, Whiting-Turner and Layton Construction will provide real world examples of the potential of CMiC’s Mobile Platform. This presentation will focus on how Whiting-Turner has leveraged CMiC Field to better manage safety checklists and tracking in the field to instantly communicate via email notifications. Layton Construction will demonstrate how they provide their field users a better tool to track Daily Journals from the field, resulting in more accurate manpower reporting at the corporate level. CMiC will reveal the latest product development and roadmap for Mobile.

  • Identify how clients leverage issues in CMiC Field to alert key project team members of an incident on the job site.
  • Appraise how Layton Construction extended their Project Management system into the field, with a focus on Daily Journals.
