PPP Loan Forgiveness: Recent Developments and Closing the Books on 2020

The SBA recently issued two forms designed as questionnaires to solicit data from all recipients of PPP Loans greater than $2 million. The IRS has also indicated its intent to address the taxability of PPP Loan forgiveness, in particular as it applies to straddles between tax years 2020 and 2021. We will explore the contents of the questionnaires and available updated IRS guidance, as well as other miscellaneous updates.
