Officially, I’m Senior Vice President, Practice Leader of Assurance’s Construction, Real Estate and Alternative Risk Groups. But I like to think of myself as more of a strategist in helping Assurance’s 800+ construction and real estate clients minimize risk and maximize health. Insurance might not be everyone’s favorite business function, but it’s definitely one of the most important (insurance premiums are often the second largest expense after payroll). And that’s where I thrive. On a daily basis, I work with 70+ members of our construction, real estate and alternative risk teams to deliver insurance and risk management programs proven to generate value.

What many businesses don’t realize though is that value is more than just premium savings; it’s finding ways to keep employees safe, happy and healthy – which will in turn – increase productivity, decrease loss costs and improve morale. Assurance’s long-term vision is to “credibly calculate that our services create $1 billion in value annually for clients.” As the construction and alternative risk practice leader, my job is to help us get there.
