Matthew Eickman, J.D. is the director of ERISA services for Qualified Plan Advisors and the branch manager of Prime Capital Investment Advisors’ (PCIA) Omaha branch. Matthew provides fiduciary training, Investment Policy Statement oversight and design and vendor benchmarking. He is also a member of the firm’s Investment Advisory Committee and the QPA Steering Committee. He holds his FINRA series 7 and 66 registrations, and his life and health insurance licenses in multiple states.
Matthew is an active member of the Employee Benefits Committee of the American Bar Association Tax Section, serving as chair of the Defined Contribution Plans Subcommittee and being honored as a Nolan Fellow. He also has been appointed to the IRS TE/GE Gulf States Council and is a frequent speaker on regulatory developments, fiduciary responsibilities and retirement readiness.
Matthew brings more than 13 years of private legal practice focusing exclusively on employee benefits, including time as a partner with Utz, Miller & Eickman LLC, to PCIA. While in private practice, he worked closely with sponsors and fiduciaries of defined contribution and defined benefit plans of all sizes, from a few to more than 36,000 participants with plan assets as high as $2.0 billion, and represented clients in front of the DOL, IRS, and PBGC.
