Brian Boggess

Brian Boggess is a Project Engineer at S-E-A, where he specializes in accident reconstruction, biomechanical engineering, and vehicular occupant safety.


His vehicular accident reconstruction experience includes light and heavy trucks, passenger vehicles, motorcycles, off-road and construction equipment, and pedestrians. Brian’s extensive reconstruction work experience includes CDR and ECM data retrieval and interpretation, braking systems, tire failures, vehicle handling and dynamics, nighttime visibility/conspicuity, photogrammetry, and simulation. His biomechanical engineering work includes assessments of injury causation, risk and potential related to exposures in the areas of automotive accidents, slip and falls, workplace accidents, and product failures.


Brian has authored a number of peer-reviewed industry publications and holds multiple vehicle-related patents. He holds graduate degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia.
