Ann Hickman, CPCU, ARM, CRIS, has held the position of Senior Research Analyst and Editor of Construction Risk Management at International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) since 1994. She also serves as the curriculum director for the IRMI Construction Risk Conference, and editor of the IRMI Construction Risk Manager electronic newsletter. Ann has contributed to a number of other IRMI references, including Contractual Risk Transfer, The Risk Report, The Builders' Risk Book, and the original release of IRMI Workers Comp, a Complete Guide to Coverage, Laws and Cost Containment.

Ann received an MA in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia, and a BBA in Finance and Insurance from Eastern Kentucky University. She is a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designations. Prior to joining IRMI, she was on the faculty at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and at the University of Georgia in Athens, where she taught a variety of risk management and insurance courses.
