EMMA J. PIERCE, CPA, CCIFP, CGMA is the Controller at ARES LLC in Golden, CO. Her main responsibilities include producing monthly and yearly financial statements for all entities, maintaining monthly accounting books, including all GL accounts and job cost journals for all projects, as well as supervising all accounting staff, developing process and procedure documentation for all areas pertaining to construction accounting, property management accounting and financial reporting. Emma holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Metro State in Denver and has 14 years' experience in the construction accounting industry. Emma joined the Colorado Chapter of CFMA in 2007. Since then, she has served as a Colorado Conference Volunteer and on the Colorado Membership Committee. She has served as the Chair of the Colorado Membership Committee for the past 4 years. Emma has been an instructor for CFMA's CCIFP Overview Seminar since 2008 and the March 2011 Accounting & Reporting class for the Colorado Chapter. Her other affiliations include the AICPA, CSCPA, and the ICCIFP.
