Steve Ruelas, CCIFP, is a Controller at University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc.’s LA division. He is responsible for managing all facets of the accounting department, including job costing, payroll, trade/subcontracts payable, cash management, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. He is also responsible for financial reporting and performance metrics.
Steve has six years of experience as a controller and 12 years of construction accounting experience. A member of CFMA since 2010, he is currently Vice President of the Orange County Chapter.
Steve holds a BA in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and an MBA from California State University at Fullerton.
