Derek Smith CPA

Derek is a member of BKD National Construction & Real Estate Group and the Southern Missouri Private Client Services team. With technical expertise in partnerships, Derek is a firmwide resource on partnership-related issues and works with individuals and closely held businesses to develop and implement business structures and tax saving strategies.

He also works with clients on business and family succession planning and provides tax and business consulting services to clients in the historic preservation, low-income housing and general real estate areas. He assists clients in analyzing appropriate business structures and provides tax planning and consulting services related to buyouts, transfers, mergers and other complex partnership transactions.
