David Bauer was named President and CEO of ARTBA effective January 1, 2019. Dave joined ARTBA in 1997, and previously served as its Executive VP of Advocacy. David Zachery, CEO of the Zachery Corporation stated, “Dave Bauer’s encyclopedic knowledge of transportation policy issues, his non-partisan approach, and his strong relationships with staff, the association’s membership, and its industry coalition partners make him the right person to lead ARTBA. Prior to becoming President and CEO, Dave headed of ARTBA’s government relations team, directing the associations lobbying, grassroots initiatives, policy development, regulatory engagement, political fundraising and developments. He played a key role in passage of numerous federal highway and public transit investment laws. Prior to joining ARTBA, Dave spent seven years on the personal staff of U.S. Senator Mark O. Hatfield (R-Ore.).
