Sam Henson

Sam Henson is VP and Senior Counsel for Lockton Retirement Services, one of the largest privately held insurance brokers. He is a subject matter expert on ERISA compliance and DOL/IRS activities. Prior to Lockton, Sam spent 10 years with the U.S. Department of Labor - EBSA where he conducted more than 150 civil and criminal investigations of employee benefits plans, and supervised enforcement efforts for benefit plans funded by the SCA and Davis-Bacon Act. He is a member of the American Benefits Council, DCIIA, ASPPA, ISCEBS, and is a national speaker and writer on numerous fiduciary topics. Sam earned his JD at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and holds CEBS, RPA, GBA, and APM designations.
