Commercial general liability (CGL) insurance represents one of the most important and complex pieces of a contractor’s risk management program. This workshop will explain the key aspects of CGL coverage from a contractor’s perspective. From the insuring agreement to the policy exclusions, this workshop explains the application of key policy provisions in a construction context.

Learning Objectives:
  • Identify numerous potential CGL coverage gaps and, where possible, show how to fill them.
  • Discover how to expand contractors’ coverage through the use of standard and nonstandard endorsements.
  • Be prepared to complete the CGL component of the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist designation.
